The New South Wales south east is one step closer to buying bulk power.
The idea of buying electricity in quantity was proposed by electricians who approached the Moruya Chamber of Commerce.
The group discussed the idea which was well received, says the Chamber president, Graham Scobie.
A panel of three members has been established and is looking into developing the idea into a reality.
“Those three people are each investigating a separate supplier for bulk electricity or a separate power broker,” Mr Scobie said.
“That report will come back to the next Moruya Chamber of Commerce meeting which is on Thursday the 19th of April.”
