A New Jersey private school is putting its funding to good use and going green for their energy.

The Villa Victoria Academy recently activated the 658 solar photovoltaic panels which now sit proudly atop the schools classrooms.

According to BSC Clean Energy, the company responsible for the installation, the system will produce over 185,000 kilowatts of renewable energy every year, providing up to 82 per cent of the schools electricity needs.

It is hoped that this move by the Villa Victoria Academy will encourage other schools to do the same and move to a cleaner, greener energy future.
