The western part of the country is expected to see more solar energy developments as the Australian Solar Council supports WA solar targets. Government and citizen’s alike rally behind the said cause, offering support in their own ways to make solar power a must in the western part of the country.
Almost half a million residents of Western Australia are said to have reduced their power bills to up to 65% by switching to solar energy. This new initiative is expected to add more than 350,000 more to those figures in the next half a decade if things go according to plan.
An analysis conducted demonstrates how the existing Renewable Energy Target (RET) could be responsible for the delivery of more than 700 megawatts to large scale solar power projects in the west, which in turn would mean the generation of jobs for around 7,000 individuals as manpower to successfully maintain such initiatives.
