Martifer Solar

Martifer Solar, a global player in the photovoltaic industry finished the construction of five solar farms in nine weeks, installing 78.4 MV in record time, or equivalent to 2 MW per day. The solar farms are meant for Lightsource Renewable Energy, a UK-based provider of solar panels.

The accomplishment has been widely praised among PV circles, dubbing it as a success which would only boost Martifer’s reliable reputation not just in the United Kingdom, but also in an international scale as the demand for solar energy continues to rise.

Solar energy has been en vogue in the last decade, accounting for a significant boom in sales when it comes to the industry of renewable energy. With countries such as the United States and Australia leading the pack in the implementation of environment friendly policies, the prospect for bigger markets remain to be fully exploited as this industry braces for an upswing in the next few years.

Most customers relying on solar energy are commercial ones, usually large multinational companies which leave a significantly noticeable carbon footprint, which has led to the decision to turn to renewable energy not just for the environment, but also for wider profit margins brought about by savings in terms of energy consumption costs.

Martifer Solar has taken advantage of such demand, expanding their presence from Portugal to virtually almost all of Europe. Its presence has since grown to include emerging markets in the industry such as India, Japan, Brazil, and the entire North American continent.

As far as products and services are concerned, the company covers segments which deal with solar panel installations, may they be ground-mounted, rooftop, BIPV, small generation, or off-grid solutions, among others. Their operations cover all phases of the solar development cycle
