A new solar scheme by Tindo Solar will surely benefit thousands of SA households as well as hundreds of commercial and industrial establishments.

Tindo plans to give these households and companies 5000 free solar panels plus the chance of paying cheaper energy bills for as long as they live.

Tindo hopes that this plan will produce positive results because the company is determined to provide this same benefit to a wider scope of consumers in South Australia. Originally, Tindo plans to install these free solar panels in residences and commercial establishments by next year.

What’s the Catch Tindo?

The only thing that consumers are required to do is to sign up with Tindo’s offer which signifies their agreement to the free solar panel scheme. The agreement requires them to pay for electricity for an agreed time frame of up to 15 years after which they will be given full ownership of the solar panels.

Tindo in the Kaurna warra Aboriginal language means ‘sun’. As the only wholly Australian owned manufacturer of solar panels, this name carries significant weight in what the company aims to achieve. This company is the seller and distributor of clean and green solar electricity generated by Tindo Solar systems.

If all things go well, virtually everyone will benefit with the Tindo Power Purchase Agreement. In this agreement, the company will install a Tindo solar system at the premises of the customer. The solar system will still be owned by Tindo, but they will maintain the system without any charge.

They will also monitor the system to see if it is operating at its optimum levels. The company makes money with the electricity that is generated by the system, which they will charge on your account. The charge is just 25 cents per kilowatt as against 35 to 42 cents of other companies. At the end of 15 years, they will fully own the solar system.
