You need to get at least four to six hours of direct sunlight in order for the tent to generate enough solar power to provide you two to four hours of light.

The fly is situated on top of the solar panel where the sun can charge the panel via the clear PVC window installed at the top of the fly. The standard solar powered tent tent can accommodate four people, but there are bigger tents that can house six off grid campers.

Battery powered flashlights are good until they get lost among all your other gears or along the trail. If not lost, their batteries’ run-time ebbs until their power runs out.
