Solarize Western Wake program making solar more affordable

The co-founder and CEO of the company, Kathy Miller, has reiterated that the success behind the Solarize Western Wake program is due to the fact that home-owners are looking to reduce electricity bills at the end of the month, making them more open to alternative methods of power.

There have been many home-owners that have experienced the benefit of the various Solarize programs running throughout North Carolina, which have resulted in close to 1.5 megawatts of new rooftop home solar power installations taking place during 2014 alone.

Consumers coming out on top with the new energy industry dynamic

The Solarize standard first came about in Oregon back in 2009, with the purpose of reducing the costs associated with the installation of solar, specifically for marketing and outreach programs. Consumers are now spoilt for choice as they are given a set package including pricing with vetted installers, allowing them to make an informed decision as whether solar energy is for them.

Even with the apparent planned cessation of the North Carolina tax credit during 2016, the Solarize Western Wake program is still attracting enough attention to keep it growing. A growth-enducing combination of tax incentives, an ever-expanding base of technology as well as the overall Solarize discount makes solar energy obviously beneficial investment option for lots of home-owners.
