THE BASICS ON SOLAR ENERGY

Solar power technology has been existing in the past 45 years. Throughout its development, the affordability and price of the solar panels changes along with the international acceptance of renewable energy technologies. The 21st century is the boom of solar or as some called it, the 21st century solar coaster.

What caused the Solar Boom?

There are two factors that may have caused the solar boom. One is climate change and the other is the continuous rise in the cost of electricity. The increase in the need for energy continues and the Earth’s human population works to source affordable alternatives to the traditional fossil fuel. The solar industry eventually spent billions of dollars to improve and sustain solar power technology.

How does solar power work?

There are three basic steps on how solar power systems create electricity.

  1. The solar panels mounted on the rooftop captures sunlight.
  2. The solar panels create DC power after a reaction happens upon the solar panels’ exposure to the sun.
  3. The solar inverter converts the unsafe DC current to a safe AC current homes and commercial establishments can use.

Why go solar?

Solar power does not rely on burned fossil fuels to create electricity. Aside from it being green and clean, it’s free!
