Renewable Energy Target

THE RENEWABLE ENERGY TARGET

Setting target is an essential step in working our way towards a common goal. The renewable energy industry continues to boom and develop with the introduction of more innovations and developments that will not only continue to boost the industry, but also benefit more households, commercial businesses, educational institutions and schools, industrial applications, governments and more.

The renewable energy industry aims to create 18,400 jobs by the year 2020 if the industry retains its current form. To date, more than 1.5 million Australian homes received assistance in solar installations that will let them save around $510 million on their power bills by the year 2020; however, based on the Australian national statistics for renewable energy, the government aims to terminate the renewable energy target and invest in the traditional electricity infrastructures that are not beneficial for the environment and can increase the risks for further depletion in the future.

When more Australians turn green with their energy choices, taking a step closer to the renewable energy target is possible. There are benefits one can get when they invest in a quality solar power system. They also contribute in creating awareness for the renewable energy industry which is given less priority than traditional electricity sources, particularly in the solar industry.
