Anna Bligh’s commitment to renewable energy has assisted in the State Government decision to inject $4 million to help power Hervey Bay with clean energy. The projects include the 396kW solar power farm located on the outskirts of Hervey Bay and the 266kW solar power system at the Hervey Bay Hospital.
Queensland Government Solar Bonus Scheme****– Net Feed-in Tariff – 8c per kWh for systems up to 5kW’s. Applicants may be eligible for a further 8-9c per kWh contribution by there energy retailer.
Existing solar installations are still eligible for the approved 44c per kWh Net Feed-in Tariff until 2028.
