Streets in Dubai are rarely lined with plug in cars, but in the near future, more of them will ply the roads. This is bound to happen as soon as electric car charging stations are launched at a number of offices at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

The momentum that electric vehicles are gaining within the automotive industry has provoked calls for funding for infrastructure and electric vehicle charging stations to support the growth of energy efficient cars.
