Ergon Energy is one of the biggest electricity retailers in regional Queensland. It provides electricity to about 700,000 residential and commercial customers over a very large area that encompasses around one million square kilometres.

Ergon Energy Solar has undertaken a successful experiment that changed the way of thinking of Magnetic Island residents. The Magnetic Island solar experiment began in 2007 and was just recently concluded with positive results.

A great rush in installation of solar energy conversion devices is expected in the lead up to a reduction in Australia’s Solar Credits rebate. Ergon Energy is urging that IES applications be lodged soon.
