The largest solar farm in Australia recently started its operations at Royalla. It was officially opened by Simon Corbell, the Minister for the Environment. The plant is located about 23 kilometres from Canberra.

Since the Royalla solar farm attained financial close back in August 2013, construction had proceeded accordingly and according to FRV, the company behind it, the farm will begin operations by the end of this year.
