The lineup of large-scale renewable energy projects has led to highest levels of renewables investment across Australia. The Clean Energy Council (CEC) has stated 41 renewable energy projects have so far been executed in 2017.

Hervey Bay will soon be on Australia’s solar map as two of the community solar farms begin construction. A total of $4 million of solar power investments will take footing at Hervey Bay hospital and Wide Bay Water Corporation opening green related jobs, boosting local solar industry and saving hundreds of tonnes of carbon each year.

A pre-feasibility study for a medium-scale community-owned rooftop solar farm in inner Melbourne is being finalised by Victoria’s Yarra Climate Action Now (YCAN). YCAN is an independent community group based in the inner Melbourne suburbs of the City of Yarra.
